Today the international transport company AWT, a member of PKP CARGO, successfully concluded a collective bargaining agreement with trade unions for an amendment to the 2016-2020 Collective Agreement concerning an increase in salaries, allowances and bonuses for employees. It includes an agreement by AWT and the unions to increase wages in 2018 by 10% over their level in 2017.

The discussions were marked by a concerted effort to increase wages and meet other demands made by the unions. The company will make more than 45 million crowns available for the wage increase and other changes specified in the amendment, and this amount, as per the proposal of the unions, will be divided up among wages, allowances and bonuses.

The addendum to the 2016-2020 Collective Agreement signed by both sides stipulates that the hourly and monthly wage scales for employees of AWT will increase by 10% in 2018 over their level in 2017. There will likewise be an increase in premium pay for night work, bonuses for standby duty and the allowance for children’s recreation, which is one of the many benefits for AWT employees.

“This joint agreement and the signing of the amendment to the Collective Agreement between union representatives and the employer creates the basis for the stabilization of our workforce and motivation for our employees to provide professional and reliable work, which we highly appreciate, and the fulfillment of our common goals for the future,” says Arkadiusz Olewnik, the CEO of AWT.
