The AWT Group, a member of PKP CARGO, has nearly two thousand employees, making it one of the most important employers not only in the Moravian-Silesian Region, but also throughout the Czech Republic. In February of this year, it launched a career website focused on recruiting new employees. Visitors to the site will find not only information on job vacancies and many of the benefits the AWT Group offers to job seekers, but also collaboration between the group and students and graduates of secondary schools and universities.
“Having a career website for recruitment is an important feature of every major company. We believe that at a time when the unemployment rate in the Czech Republic is below five percent, we need to accommodate potential job seekers as much as possible and therefore make it easier for those interested in working for the company in the future to obtain information related to it,” says AWT HR Director Žaneta Sigmundová.
To make the AWT career website easy to navigate, the pages are divided into three main categories depending on the interest of visitors. Immediately on the homepage they can choose whether to proceed under “I’m a student”, “I’m a graduate”, or “I’m a job seeker”. Each section of the site contains exactly the information the visitors to that section are interested in. The pages have been created with a modern look, they are user-friendly, and of course they have been optimized for mobile phones and tablets.
Last year, AWT also launched the new official website of the AWT Group, where the content and design match the web presentation of the parent group PKP CARGO, as well as a website for the AWEŤÁK scholarship program, which offer visitors all the information they need regarding the AWT scholarship program. This site is mainly intended for vocational students, secondary school students and college students who would like to start their cooperation with AWT while still in school.
